The Lord provided the perfect space, and in June 2010 we moved into our new church home on Science Drive. After five more years of being a mobile church at Moorpark College, in the fall of 2009 we began to look for a permanent home so we could offer midweek programs for our children and youth, discipleship classes for adults, and special seasonal events. On October 24, 2004, Cornerstone Community Church of Moorpark, Inc. Francis, along with the elders at Cornerstone Simi, made the decision to plant us as our own church and asked one of their associate pastors, Gordy Duncan, a 30-year resident of Moorpark, to take over as senior pastor. By summer 2004, the Moorpark campus was thriving with its own children's ministry, men's and women's groups and events. After meeting for a time at Mesa Verde Middle School, then in the PAC at Moorpark High School, we eventually settled in at Moorpark College, meeting in the cafeteria. A video of the Saturday night message in Simi would be shown on Sunday mornings to the Moorpark gathering. Cornerstone Moorpark began in 2002 as a mobile satellite campus to Cornerstone Community Church in Simi Valley led by then senior pastor, Francis Chan. ![]()
